Setting Up The Invector Add-Ons
You should follow these steps when setting up your add-ons.
- Import your base Invector template (Basic, Melee, Or Shooter)
- Import all of your invector add-ons
- Import EMI Base (Basic, Melee, or Shooter)
- Convert Invector Scripts
- Import EMI Base Packages (from UI)
- Import EMI Add-Ons
- NOTE: Certain add-ons require additional steps. Explained below
- Convert Prefabs ... ...
So you will see that the setup is pretty much the same as normal, you should just import the add-ons before conversion to save yourself some time.
Adding Add-Ons To Pre-Existing Project
If you already have things converted from previously and wish to add the add-ons to your project, it's no big deal.
- Import Invector Add-Ons
- Setup add-Ons as needed
- Import EMI Add-Ons NOTE: Only do this if you have completed a base EMI setup
- Re-convert new characters with the add-on components
Additional Setups
Certain add-ons, like the Top-Down addon from invector, will require additional steps after you imported it into your project and extracted the supporting EMI package. This addon can be found in the Assets/CBGames/EasyMultiplayer-Invector/Basic Locomotion/Editor/TopDown_Support.unitypackage path. You can extract this addon into your project but it has some additional steps before you can use it.
If this is the case for this, or any other addon, a new menu item will appear in the Easy Multiplayer - Invector menu item. Something like the following:
Easy Multiplayer - Invector
- Addons
- Top-Down
- 1. Convert Top-Down Invector Files
- 2. Extract Package
So before you can extract the package you should first convert the invector files specific to that invector add-on before finishing the EMI package extraction.
Just like the selectable options suggest you should first convert the files, then extract the EMI package.
